What is your core product offering?
StoryStream is a content engagement platform that helps brands create authentic and highly engaging content experiences, that build a more emotional connection with customers and accelerate the path to purchase.
Our core solutions include:
- User Generated Content Curation - Increase trust with authentic, rights approved UGC imagery displayed on websites, email and social.
- Shoppable Media - Monetise imagery and create new paths to purchase.
- Content Hubs - Create personalised content hubs that engage web visitors for longer.
- Content Syndication - Grow brand awareness with content on partner sites and portals.
Our all-in-one platform combines AI-powered content curation, tagging and publishing tools that make it easy to create a range of engaging content experiences that easily integrate into any existing marketing channels including social, web, email and eCommerce.
Working with brands including Porsche, Sainsbury’s and Audi we are able to grow conversions by up to 25% and achieve an ROI of 10-1.
WHAT SHOULD WE KNOW ABOUT StoryStream AS AN ORGANISATION?
StoryStream is a UK based company working with clients around the world. We were founded in 2012 by ex‐digital marketers working in the automotive sector. Our team of 30 people is based between London and Brighton.
WHO ARE YOUR CLIENTS?
We have a significant presence in the Automotive sector, currently working across 15 brands that include Porsche, Volvo, Mercedes AMG and McLaren. We are now expanding into the online retail sector having recently launched StoryStream’s technology across the Sainsbury’s eCommerce platform.
WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER VENDORS IN THIS SPACE?
StoryStream offers a unique set of content solutions for brands looking to enhance their digital customer experience. Underpinning our technology is a proprietary AI engine called AURA. AURA enables a level of content automation and scalability that allows our clients to deliver truly personalised and engaging content across the whole customer journey.
CAN YOU OUTLINE THE PROBLEM THAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SOLVE WITH YOUR PRODUCT?
A customer who is emotionally engaged has a 3x higher lifetime value to a brand. The challenge online is how do you build an emotional connection with customers when they can’t visit a shop or experience the products physically. This is where the role of content comes in, in particular content that connects with a customer emotionally. Content that is authentic, visual, relevant and engaging. StoryStream solves this challenge by providing the tools and workflow required to deliver more engaging and authentic content at scale, across every digital touchpoint. We help brand create a more emotional and higher value connection with customers.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT NEXT FROM YOUR PRODUCT?
We will continue to develop our AI engine AURA, to further streamline and optimise the content curation and publishing process. We will also be shortly releasing a range of shoppable media solutions that make any image on brand or partner websites shoppable, creating new revenue opportunities.
WHAT DO YOU FEEL IS THE BIGGEST TREND IN MARTECH AT THE MOMENT?
There is a big focus on a more joined up and engaging customer experience. A lot of MarTech focus over the last 5 years has been on data and personalisation. At StoryStream, we believe to realise the potential of these personalisation platforms you need to solve the content at scale problem, to ensure that the overall customer experience is as relevant and engaging as possible.
WHAT DO YOU SEE AS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE FACING A MARKETER TODAY?
Clearly the world is going through a major crisis at the moment and many aspects of life have changed, some forever. This is going to create an extended period of uncertainty and huge drop in consumer confidence. How you market and sell your brand is more challenging than ever, especially with reduced budgets and resources.
However, there is a school of thought that increasing marketing spend in a recession is a smart move as you can get greater cut through and awareness as there are less competitors advertising in the same way, P&G are famous for this.
So the big challenge is navigating the next few months and years and keeping your brand relevant and engaging, especially through digital channels where most commerce will take place. Clearly good content is key to this!
